As this lens is optimised for close working distances, how does it perform as a 100mm (160mm on cropped sensor) general purpose f2.8 lens. As there is no image stabilisation on this lens a shutter speed of at least 1/250 is required to minimise the risk of camera shake. Manual focus is superb with little arc movement to find the focus point and the benefit of a nice bright viewfinder.
